Prof. Oladele Osinbanjo (Chairman of the Board)
Osibanjo, a Professor of Analytical and Environmental Chemistry, had been Head of Chemistry Department at the University of Ibadan and had graduated over 300 Masters of Science and 19 Doctorate degrees students. He also has over 150 publications to his credit as international journal articles, chapters in books and commissioned technical reports. Osibanjo served the Chemistry Society of Nigeria (CSN), of which he is a Fellow, as National President and he is also a Fellow of ICCON. He earned B.Sc (Hons) in Chemistry with a Second Class Upper status from the University of Ibadan in 1970 and M.Sc in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom in 1973. His doctoral thesis at the same university where he finished with a Ph.D (Analytical Chemistry) in 1976 won him the Elwell Award of the Royal Society of Chemistry, Midlands Region, UK for contributing to the development of Analytical Chemistry. In 1988 when consignments of toxic wastes from Italy were illegally dumped in Koko port, near Sapele, Delta State, Osibanjo analysed the deposits for the Federal Government. That set the stage for environmental governance reforms in Nigeria with the establishment of the Federal Environmental Protection Agency (FEPA), which later metamorphosed into the Federal Ministry of Environment. Osibanjo was FEPA Resident Consultant from 1990 to 1992 during which period he assisted the young agency with capacity building, development of programmes, environment protection guidelines and standards. The internationally renowned scholar and environmental consultant had consulted for several United Nations agencies, including United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO), as well as the World Bank.
Mr. Kenneth Emeka Nwosu
Nwosu, teaches Chemistry in senior classes, in addition to being Vice Principal, Roma Kings and Queens High School, Oke-Afa, Isolo, Lagos. He graduated with a B.Sc (Second Class Upper) in Industrial Chemistry from the Enugu State College of Science and Technology, Agbani-Enugu in 2006. He is also a Chartered Chemist and member of the ICCON.
Mr. Emmanuel Oluwatowo Fayemi
Fayemi, is chemistry teacher of over 20years, teaches at the privately-owned Dansol High School, Ogba-Ikeja, Lagos, earned B.Sc in Chemistry from the University of Lagos in 1990 and is a Master’s degree student. He has been a Chemistry teacher since 1990 at Government College, Yaba-Abuja, Ashadale College, Ojodu, Lagos and Odomola Grammar School.
Mrs Adeniji Esther Folashade
She attended Ijaye High School in Ibadan and was admitted to the Polytechnic Ibadan in 1984. Between 1998 and 1999, she attended the Federal College of Education in Akoka and the University of Ibadan in 1987 where she was awarded a B.Sc. in Chemistry. In 2005, she earned a Master’s Degree in Education Management at the Lagos State University, Ojoo.
She is a dedicated member of the Nigerian Union of Teachers and the Science Teachers Association of Nigeria. She has been active in the education sector since 1990. Her numerous years of experience are a great asset to the PZ Cussons Chemistry Challenge Advisory Board.
Presently, she is a Vice Principal of Matori Senior Grammar School, Okota, where she teaches chemistry with a minimum of 8 periods per week. She is a NECO examiner since inception, and has been a team leader of NECO marking for the past 5years
